Dear friends,

An update to help guide our prayer for newborn Mohammed from the Gaza Strip:

As of sunset Wednesday he remains in the pediatric ICU in Israel. Though referred for emergency treatment of a congenital heart defect, by the time he arrived at the hospital on Sunday his kidneys had stopped functioning as a result of the oxygen deprivation. The head of the ICU, Dr. Tsion Khoury, says he'd normally put a child like this on dialysis for one, two, or three days until he starts producing urine. Mohammed has now completed three days of dialysis and has still not started urinating. It is crucial that his kidneys now start to work again if he is to live.

May the God of all mercies, the defense of the helpless, hear us as we call out on Mohammed's behalf.
