Dorothy reports:
At exactly 5.30pm tonight we delivered Dalal and her father at the Erez crossing to return home to Gaza. Please pray for this lively teenager that the healing process will continue and she will come to know the love of the Lord as she reflects on the love shown her and the gift of a new heart.
Dalal has done very well and apart from follow up visits with her doctor in Gaza, she is fully discharged back to her family.
Justin adds:
We received the good news today that Dalal was healthy enough to be released back to her home in Gaza. Still very weak after her surgery, she had a difficult ride back suffering from car sickness much of the time, and needed help getting in and out of the van. After such a difficult journey home, we didnt expect her to be in the best of spirits. But in spite of it all, at the gate across the border she was saying, Thank you, thank you profusely. "Say thank you to everyone for me. On behalf of Dalal, thank you to everyone who has shared this blessing with her.
This morning early Dalal went for her heart surgery. When I caught up with her, she was deeply asleep in the ICU after surgery. Her father is with her and was concerned tonight that she was not being fed and asked me to get her some food. However, all her needs are taken care of through intravenous transfusions. It is expected that she will be extubated tomorrow.
Pray that she will make good progress and that the Lord will comfort her father's heart as he sees things happening to his daughter that he may not fully understand.
Today Dalal was concerned about her good looks and asked for a mirror to check on any 'damage' done to her complexion during the operation. With her ever attentive father beside her, Dalal was alert and talking and taking an interest in every injection and assessment the nurses were doing. The medical opinion is that the surgery went well and it is expected she will soon be out of ICU. Please continue to pray for this lovely young lady.
