This afternoon I was able to visit with little Sulaiman in the ICU, but at the time I was there his mother was resting. However, I saw her earlier this morning. When I asked how Sulaiman was doing, she replied "God willing, he's good." She seemed to be hopeful about the outcome of her son's treatment as she sees the care he is receiving. Sulaiman's nurse was also positive in her response to my inquiry about his status, and she reported that he is stable. I came into the room after the nurses disturbed Sulaiman's rest by changing his sheets. Once he stopped crying he looked at me intently as though wondering why I was there with him. It is hard to believe he is seven months old; the picture you see cannot show just how frail and thin he is, how very tiny he is for this age.
After only a couple of minutes with him, the nurses needed to attend to him again, and I had to move out of the way. Please pray for this tiny life which God has brought to everyone's attention, giving a precious opportunity for him to live. And pray for his mother that her hopes will be fulfilled in the health and life of her son.
