We have special standing to ask God to help others when we’re willing to be part of the answer. As we give our time, our money and our love for our neighbors’ children, we have a place to pray for their healing:
Join us as we exercise our hearts with these words for our patients, and relationships: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Sweet little Nyan is recovering from her first successful open heart surgery, praise God! Please pray for her as she recovers, and for the doctors as they decide how to treat the remaining transposition of the great arteries once her body is stronger.
Praise God for His healing of Yaqoob! He is now conscious, his kidneys functioning, requiring minimal oxygen support, and eating a regular diet! You can imagine how thankful his grandmother is, and we join her in thanking God for His good work.
An overjoyed Hawre and his mother are now home with their family in Iraq.
Praise God! Asma and her mother have returned home to their joyful family in Iraq to celebrate her new life with a healthy heart.
Little Aryan had a delay due to another child's emergency, and is now waiting for his surgery with us in Jerusalem. Prayer for him and his mother as they await this complicated surgery is the important opportunity before us.
Precious Monsour and his grandmother have returned to Gaza after doctors were sure he was ready for release. Please pray for his family as they persevere in caring for him so that he resists infection while healing.
Please pray for the family of tiny Adam as he did not survive, and now is whole in heaven with our Father.
Please continue praying for all the Gaza cases. Some are very difficult on every level. To help you pray for them, please check both of these blogs. You can first meet those coming to the weekly echocardiogram clinic. Thankfully, diplomatic crises have not stopped the necessary cooperation, or the open heart surgeries, which save the lives of so many children. Keep praying for the men and women on Wolfson Hospital's staff as they persevere in reaching out to their neighbors, and for the whole chain of others involved in the process of joining needs with provision of help. Pray for us in the opportunity to be part of the healing as we assist with transportation and administration, as well as coming alongside with compassion and grace, throughout every week.
And living together in community means opening up our lives to each other. As we share honestly with each other comes opportunity to pray for each other that we too may be healed. Therefore we treasure your prayers for our daily community life with the many opportunities, as well as the unavoidable challenges.
Our coworker Muna has begun preliminary examinations for her needed heart transplant after chemotherapy severely weakened it. Please join us in prayer for our sister, that God will provide all she and her family need in every way.
Jonathan has shared some news we can lift up in prayer: "... we've started praying at Prophets Street after another visit tonight from potential buyers of our historic building. When we took possession ten years ago this month, I felt the Lord's word was "I am giving this place to you." But those who currently hold legal rights to the building haven't yet gotten the same memo."
For our staff, we often travel 'under the radar' to be with people who need God's grace through that wondrous work He's doing by grace in us. Pray for His presence through us to accomplish bringing His Kingdom near all those He takes us to. His favor affords us the protection, provision, and wisdom for our journeys, and fuels our continual thanksgiving for the riches of His goodness and glory.
We desire to fully trust our Father to provide all that is needed on a daily basis, whether it be spiritual, physical or financial. We tenaciously yearn for a more intimate knowledge of His unfailing love with which to love one another, so that all will know we're followers of the Messiah.
We want to be faithful witnesses to the life and character of Jesus by submitting to and exhibiting His relational love, care and kindness to the Iraqi children and parents God sends to us, as well as to new volunteers who come to work with us. We want to carry this love to the hospitals, to our Gaza patients, and beyond.
We are asking to see the Lord's will unfold about whether to move the heart patients closer to Tel Aviv in order to use the present premises in Jerusalem for a discipleship school.
