Mohammed, Bilal and Ikram all had their heart caths done today. By the time Donna, Denise and I got to the hospital Bilal was already finished and we found him in his room; Mohammed was having his catheterization and Ikram was being wheeled to the 1st floor to have his.
After a catherazation the patient is supposed to lay still for 6 hours but with a child it can be 4 hours. They especially have to keep the right leg where they had the cath done straight. Mohammed had a little trouble laying still, he kept wanting to lay on his side but he did very well and within 4 hours he was sitting up and eating. He had to fast before the catherazation so he was very hungry.
We got him a Happy Meal from McDonald's and he liked the toy dog that came in it. Dr. Alona told Donna that his Catherization turned out good. Thank you for your prayers.

Today Mohammed was admitted for his catheterization, the first step in the healing of his heart. He came to give me a hug when I first arrived after seeing me while peeping out of his room. In fact, every time Tim or I walked into the ward we saw Mohammed checking around his room to see what was happening. Our visit was rather brief today, but we assured Um Mohammed we'd be there tomorrow to sit with her during her son's catheterization. Please pray for both of them during the procedure.
