Thinking back on my past time at Shevet Achim really brings tears to my eyes. I'm in the states now waiting to go back. That is where my heart is. It's hard to put my focus on one child in this reflection, because each child and each mother, father or companion are a miracle and have left a mark on my life with their trust and their love. These families have been chosen by God, not us. He chose each one because He wanted them to have the opportunity to know and receive His Son Jesus Christ. Especially the precious few that He chose to be with Jesus in His Time which was earlier then we would have chosen. His time is not like our time. He sent them to Shevet Achim for us to minister to them and show them the Love of God before their time was up.

Since I can't write about them all I prayed about which one I should write about, and the one who keeps coming to me is Aresh. I believe this is because I had a dream about him the last time I was in the States waiting to go back and I didn't even know who he was. I saw this little blond, curly headed boy (looked like he was around 2 years old) standing on the dining room table all by himself with only a pair of dark blue shorts on. He had no shirt on and this showed me that he had not had his surgery yet. I e-mailed Jonathan and Justina and they e-mailed me and said it was Aresh. They said his mother and him needed much prayer because they would find him alone in dangerous places a lot. His mother had been an orphan, was very young and did not know how to love him. She cried a lot and was much like a hurt child herself. During the time she was at Shevet Achim she gradually began to change and by the time they left she was a changed person. I was with her during Aresh's surgery and during this time she had learned how to love him. This was a beautiful transformation. There are three blogs on Aresh that I would love for you to pull up on our " Archives ", they are (use the link above):  "In the Shadow of His Wings on Surgery Day" -- Sunday, October 10, 2010 -- You will see a video with a little of his surgery in this if you want to; " Aresh Recovering Well in ICU" ----Monday, October 11,2010 and  "Aresh winning Hearts with His Smile" ---- Thursday, October 21, 2010. This was a little boy who cried more than he smiled when he first got to Shevet Achim.

I'm patiently waiting to return as soon as the Lord let's us know it's His time.
