Midya will have another echo next Sunday to see where she stands, and will have also slowly stopped one of her medications.
Please be praying that the result will be what the doctors are hoping for, and Midya and her mother may return home to Kurdistan.
Midya came again for an echo at Sheba hospital, to check the effusion level around her heart; the medicine, thank God, is effective and the effusion is decreasing. We are praying that next week, the doctors can start to wean her off of the medication and especially that once she is off of it, the fluid will not return.
She was already happily eating when I visited her today. I was really happy to see beautiful Midya in such a good condition after just one week. Her mother was very happy today when I told her the news that she will go to our community home in Jaffa for now.
We are very happy as well for them to be home, back with the other families again and back with us. Hopefully we can spend a nice time together. Midya needs to have follow up in one week and was discharged with only one medicine.
Please pray for lovely Midya and her mother.
Today Midya was called in for surgery tomorrow. When she and her mother left the house, the other mothers had a hard time saying goodbye to them. They all cried. It is nice to see that they are so close with each other.
We ask for a blessing for the doctors and for Midya and her family. Please pray for them.
Some of the mothers who are living in our community home in Jaffa were very excited and helped Midya’s mom with her bag and the buggy and took her to the car. It was a nice atmosphere and everyone was grateful that something is moving forward after their quarantine.
The Admission procedure went very well, because the room was already prepared. Furthermore the mother of Midya met the father of Mohammed in the ICU and he welcomed her very friendly. He was also a big help for the translation.
Please pray for the catheterization tomorrow.
Co-worker Rachel and I drove to the hospital together for the first time. She was a big help and it was fun. Having Rachel along with me made the trip easier. For example, she was able to wait with the family, while I parked the car. Teamwork is a blessing indeed,
Please pray for her admission on Wednesday, that they feel comfortable in the hospital in this foreign country, and also that the doctors would have wisdom.
