When I visited Somaia today, she was awake and looking around. There was nobody in the room when I came in, so I stood next to Somaia patting her forehead and trying to play with her by showing her a rambling toy. I can’t believe how small she is, especially for a several month old baby. It is still hard to see this tiny baby laying in this bed day by day, waiting to grow.
Lord, please be with Somaia and give her love and peace. Put your hand upon her. I think of psalm 139:5: ‘You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.’ We also ask for your prayer for Somaia’s grandmother.
