At Sheba Hospital today, Sila underwent major Truncus surgery.
She has been waiting for the surgery because of different infections and finally today she was ready to have the surgery.
We came into her room this morning and prayed over her little body. Coworker Beth was even able to hold her for a moment while the nurse prepared her bed.
After seven long hours of waiting, her father impatiently waiting to hear news of his daughter, we received word that Sila was out of surgery and that everything had gone well.
Her chest is still open as her body adjusts to the big changes, but the surgeon said that everything went well. We pray for Sila that this would be a successful procedure and would lead to health and life for this little girl.
We praise God for holding her safely through surgery.
