Mohammed’s first checkup after surgery

Written by Coert

This morning we headed early to the Gaza border to pick up Mohammed and his gentle mama from the Eretz border crossing. Mohammed would have his first check up after his surgery. When we arrived at the border we found out his mother was already patiently waiting there for us. As there was also a car from the Jaffa community coming, we waited a bit to meet them, to check all the paperwork and to receive an infant car seat for little Mohammed so that we could bring him safely to the hospital.

The ride went smoothly and soon we arrived at Hadassah Medical Centre in Jerusalem. While sharing our lunch we waited for the appointment. Meanwhile other families helped us with translation. One lady even offered to stay with us to help us even though her boy had already had his appointment. It is so beautiful to experience how families from different backgrounds are helping each other. This also is Shevet Achim!

Mohammed was not very happy during his echo. But the outcome of the echo was good and so we could make an appointment within a few weeks for a catheterization to prepare him for his final surgery.

Please thank the Lord with us for this lovely family and pray for a complete healing of Muhammed.
