A card for Iman the beautiful

Lovely little Iman is doing much better today. She was successfully extubated at Hadassah Hospital yesterday, and also has had her chest drain removed. She’s awake and active – and she had a very strong grip when she held my hand today.

When I came into her room, her mother was happily working on weaving a bracelet.

She proudly showed me some art supplies the doctors had brought for her, as well as a card from the doctors reading “Iman the beautiful” in Arabic, as well as her name in English.

Iman is still a bit weak, and she had some trouble getting out a good cry when a doctor turned her on her side to inspect the surgical site on her back. But the doctors say she is recovering very well, praise God! She just needs a bit more time and rest.

Please pray that she will grow stronger.
