A challenging week

It’s been quite a week for little Sameer since his emergency surgery a week ago. He is now extubated and receiving supplemental oxygen through his nose.

Sameer began running a fever yesterday and is receiving antibiotics while waiting for blood test results. The doctor in the ICU at Sheba Medical shared with me that they are closely monitoring Sameer after what appeared to be a seizure earlier this week. His brain ultrasound came back normal, so they will continue to monitor him and run tests to determine the cause. Just today, he had an electroencephalogram, as well as a bronchoscopy to investigate pressure on his lungs.

Please pray for healing for tiny Sameer in the midst of all these challenges.
