A first assessment

Sweet Midya had her first cardiac assessment at Sheba hospital today. It was difficult for her, as she was upset during each step of the process: echo, ECG, and blood test.

We hope Midya will learn to become more confident and calm during these appointments. The assessments in Israel are typically much longer than those these children have experienced before in hospitals in Kurdistan.

The outcome of the day is that Midya will need a diagnostic catheterisation prior to a surgery, as the doctors need to check the blood pressure in her lungs.

Midya left to home in Jaffa today, and will wait for the catheterisation to be scheduled.
