The first workup at Sheba

Today I had the privilege of taking her to Sheba hospital withcoworker Zech for her first heart workup.

One of the cardiologists walked into the room and stood there for a few minutes reviewing her echo images.  He then stopped, looked at Eva and then back at me and said, “How did you get here with her?” When I told him he said, clearly shocked, “You flew with her here? And she was really just extubated a week ago?”

He paused and seemed to take the weight of it all in.  It was then that I realized that my concerns were not unfounded or misled. She is a little girl in need of imminent care, and we are blessed to get to be a part of helping her receive it.

I am so thankful for Eva. My heart’s desire is to never get so caught up in the frenzy of this work that I forget the lessons that He has taught me these past few days. Every life is precious, and God is really the one captaining this entire ship. May we never say no when He is saying yes.
