Admitted for diagnostic cath tomorrow

Today we took Meer and his father to Sheba Hospital to be checked-in for his catheterisation tomorrow.

Meer was a little nervous, however his father was a constant and gentle comforter. Meer had another ECG, a chest X-ray and an examination by the doctor.

The doctor was lovely, taking the time to fully explain everything.

Tomorrow in surgery she will perform the catheterisation. During the procedure, she and the team will take many measurements to identify how Meer’s heart is working and what further treatments he might need. During the procedure, if they find any narrowed vessels, they will try to open them using ballooning or stents. If they find any extra vessels that are damaging the health of the lungs, they will seal these off.

We left Meer and his father settled in their room for the night.
