Today I found Ali reintubated when I returned to Sheba Hospital. One of his lungs developed a bad infection and his body had begun to weaken after the procedure, and so they hooked him up again to give his body a chance to strengthen. Although this is not uncommon after surgery, and his heart still looks good, it is nevertheless hard and disappointing news, especially for his tired parents.
We pray for his healing and restoration, and that he will quickly be strengthened and extubated successfully.
