I have not ever met Saif, but I hope to meet him soon.
I hope to see him without a tube in his mouth, breathing without labor, and smiling. It has been a month since he has been at the hospital in Israel. He’s fought through multiple procedures and surgeries.
For most of his life, Saif has been dependent on mechanical ventilation to support his lung function. The doctors have been trying to remove him from mechanical ventilation, but all the attempts have been unsuccessful. The doctors continue to fight for him. If he continues to need mechanical ventilation, then the doctors are moving towards performing a tracheostomy procedure.
Please pray for Saif and his mother as they patiently wait for Saif to breathe on his own. May God breathe his life into Saif, and to strengthen him.
