It is a joy to report that Mohammad is off the ventilator and is officially breathing on his own! He has oxygen assistance as his body gets used to this change, but so far everything is looking great. His mother and grandmother had bright and cheery faces because for the first time in many weeks, they saw Mohammad awake and alert. This is indeed good news as it will also hopefully encourage more bonding between mother and child as this has been suppressed due to Mohammad’s condition.
Meanwhile the swelling in Mohammed’s bowels has gone down, and soon he will no longer need antibiotics. We ask that you continue to pray for Mohammad to be fully healed. He still has many days ahead of him for recovery, but it is a delight to see this precious little baby finally doing better.
