Joud came from Gaza today to be admitted for a catheterization tomorrow morning. She and her mum were familiar with the hospital having been here before. Joud was scheduled to have this cath over a month ago, but it was postponed until now.
Joud’s energetic nature was indulged today in a surprising way. The echo-technician asked that she be allowed to run and jump around for a few minutes so they could capture an image of her heart in a state of fatigue. Her mum, the echo technician, and I cheered her on as she ran down and back up the hallway. After finishing the echo and being checked in her room Joud went to play with some friends, other Kurdish kids and their mums also in the hospital.
Please pray for this sweet and vibrant girl as she undergoes a cath tomorrow.
