It was lovely together with co-worker Nicolle to spend time with Khader and his mother today at the Sheba Medical Center. In the morning he was in a procedure to have a PICC (central catheter) inserted for intravenous medications, so we saw him in the afternoon. The nurse commented on what a content baby he is, considering all the difficulties he has had.
Khader’s mother worried that he is not feeding properly, and so it was nice to be able to encourage her with a hug, which brightened her spirit. She is handling these long, tiring weeks in hospital with strength and dignity. Although we sat together with Khader lying in his bed, every time he made a sound, she was immediately on her feet to care for him. It is beautiful to see her heart for her baby.
Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. (Proverbs 31:25)
