Sanad is recovering well enough today from his surgery at Sheba Hospital, aside from some pleural effusion happening around his right lung, which is essentially a build up of fluid that needs to be drained out. To remedy this they installed another chest tube into the less than enthusiastic Sanad. One moment he was roused from his sleep and the next the doctors are swarming to do some mini surgery. Luckily it is a small process and he will hopefully have been able to go right back to sleep.
This is the next step of his treatment, and doctors hope to move him into a less intense unit once his chest is drained, because everything else is looking very good for Sanad! He is getting stronger and his heart is functioning and healthy!
