Doing better with tracheostomy

How good to find both mother and father by Liya’s bedside today! The father is working night shifts at a bakery in Israel and was able to get away to see his daughter firsthand today.

Liya seems to be doing much better now with her tracheostomy, and I shared with them the story of baby Abed, who went home to Gaza with a tracheostomy and now has grown and strengthened to the point that he may soon have it removed.

Liya’s parents seem caring, committed and highly motivated to care for her. As we visited today they had a bluetooth speaker on her bed playing soothing music.

Let’s continue to give them all our support through prayer and visiting.
