Echo, ECG and a blood test today

Today Meer was seen by the Sheba Hospital medical team as they did an echo, ECG and a blood test on him.

Meer was playful and keen to make the most of the toys and friends he found along the way!

During his echo Meer had a hard time keeping quiet, it was lovely hearing him chat with his dad.

The doctor was very pleased with the results; however they could not get a good view or take measurements of Meer’s pulmonary arteries.

The next step for Meer is to have a catheterisation, where accurate measurements can be taken and some treatments can be given if needed. The medical team hope to be able to avoid any further need for open heart surgery, however this cannot be confirmed until after catheterisation.
