Midya came again for an echo at Sheba hospital, to check the effusion level around her heart; the medicine, thank God, is effective and the effusion is decreasing. We are praying that next week, the doctors can start to wean her off of the medication and especially that once she is off of it, the fluid will not return.
Despite frequent trips to the hospital, Midya is doing very well. I think often of the phrase “It’s her world, and we’re just living in it,” as Midya explores her surroundings and takes in the world around her, like playing with flowers outside or playing the piano for the first time.
She is a lovely girl with a bright future. Thank you for your prayers for her.
