Extubation process

Today, we came to Sheba Hospital to see Sila and found that the doctors were in the process of extubating her. We waited for a little while, and then we were able to say hello to the little girl. She is absolutely adorable, and it was a blessing to see her and pray over her.

After our visit, we met with the doctor to get an update on her condition. It turns out that what they initially thought were convulsions was actually her reaction to the medication she’s on. We were relieved to hear that, and even more encouraged to learn that they believe she might be ready for surgery next week.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to meet Sila’s parents, as they were home for ‘Eid al-Fitr’ the holiday at the end of Ramadan. However, one of our community will visit again tomorrow. So tomorrow will be a good day for connecting with them.
