First assessment

When Ramyar was only a few days old, Ramyar’s family discovered that he had a congenital heart defect. In an echo, they discovered that he had a ventricular septal defect, or a hole between the lower chambers of his heart. This was not of any major concern, and he did not present with any symptoms that needed to be addressed. When he was five years old, he developed an infection that traveled through his blood into his heart. He received a surgery to close the hole mentioned above and to remove the vegetation that had grown on his tricuspid valve due to the infection. Currently his tricuspid valve is not functioning as well as it should, and this valve will need to be repaired in surgery.

Ramyar had his first assessment today, and bravely completed it without fear. He was even showing us how to perform the echocardiogram. Ramyar is now waiting for his surgery in Israel, please pray for his family during this waiting time.
