Ahmed had his first appointment today at Sheba hospital. He was quite patient through the whole process, and passed a long four and a half hours exploring every corner of the clinic in between exams.
Ahmed had Tetralogy of Fallot repair surgery at another hospital in Israel several years ago. But as is the case with many kids with TOF, he now needs some further intervention. His doctors in Kurdistan are recommending conduit valve replacement, but his cardiologist at Sheba wants to conduct some more tests before he decides what intervention Ahmed needs. He will review all Ahmed’s reports and echo images this evening and tomorrow will give his recommendations for the next steps, which will probably be a CT scan and dental treatment.
Please pray that these prerequisites will be scheduled soon so Ahmed can have his intervention soon.
