Growing well

“Little” Hena has increased by 25 grams in weight since her last weigh-in. This is important news for her, as she needs to keep growing in preparation for her next surgery.

The cardiologist found that the shunt is working very well, and it could be that her pulmonary arteries also are growing. This is necessary in order to be considered ready to have the next surgery, the Glenn surgery.

Her weight is also a good indicator of her readiness, and we have been told that four kilograms could be the sign that she is ready. She has another 25 grams to go, so we hope that in two weeks time, at the next echo, she can be put forward for a diagnostic catheterisation, prior to her surgery.

Thank you for praying over Hena’s life.
