His chest has been closed

At around noon today Anas was taken back to surgery to have his chest closed. My co-worker Elisa and I waited with his anxious parents. There was little we could do but sit and pray, or occasionally pace, as his parents did, and trust that the Lord would bring Anas through.

There wasn’t much conversation between us, but when another Shevet dad joined us, he spoke with the father of Anas and reassured us that he still has hope and has placed his son in God’s hands.
Then, at 4 pm, Anas was brought out of surgery. Praise God! His chest has been closed, as well as a pacemaker inserted for later use, and although he remains critical, he has made another step forward.

With some relief, Anas’ parents were finally able to relax and eat. The family treated us to generous helpings of gamba and salad. Delicious! A welcome meal after an anxious afternoon.

We continue to lift up Anas and believe for his complete healing by our great physician Jesus!
