Ayan continues in the pediatric ICU at Sheba hospital on ECMO.
The nurse and doctor updated us that he is still completely reliant on the various machines, and a high amount of medication, to help keep him alive. The time since the surgery has been very hard on Ayan’s little body. We continue to pray that God will look over and sustain him.
Ayan’s mother is very worried about him, and tried to take her mind off the situation whilst at home with us in Jaffa by cooking a large speciality Kurdish dish called Briyani. She is an excellent cook, and we ate it together at the hospital for lunch. A familiar and delicious lunch with lovely friends, helps to make a long hard day more bearable for these mothers who are bearing heavy burdens.
Please pray for Ayan’s life, remembering this truth of the person of Jesus, our Great Intercessor:
Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].
