Our sweet Somaia is still hanging in there. She still is on normal ventilator support, but she is responding better.
Today coworker Tineke wrote: “I have never seen her so awake before. She follows with her eyes and reacts to sounds. It was very special to see this together with her aunt.”
Somaia’s aunt continues to be an encouragement to all of the other mothers and grandmothers in Sheba Hospital. The hospital would still like to discharge Somaia with her ventilator, but we still haven’t been able to find a good place for her to go to. Please pray that God will heal our lovely little girl, and that He will find a place for her.
