Meena’s first day at Sheba hospital

Meena was dressed to impress for her initial assessment appointment today at Sheba hospital. She charmed everyone who saw her. She and her mum are best friends, and they both have happy, sociable personalities that delight everyone around them. Meena was excited about everything, especially waving to people, blowing kisses and watching the ambulances outside.

The echo was easy for Meena. The cardiologist explained to her intelligent and interested mother, that the assessment confirmed the diagnosis from Kurdistan. Meena has Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), and it will need to be repaired by separating her two ventricles properly and widening one of her valves. As Meena is clinically very well and stable, she was discharged back to our home in Jaffa where she will continue to wait for a surgery date.
