Mumtaz Jiddan

It was a wonderful day today for Ibrahim as he was able to come to Hadassah hospital for his checkup after surgery.

Ibrahim is a beautiful young boy who had received surgery before at a different hospital where resources are more limited. When it came to the last minute and there was no one left to help, we saw God open the door for him to receive his life-saving surgery at one of the best hospitals in Israel.

Ibrahim’s family has also suffered in losing a daughter before to a heart condition and knowing the pain of having no one to go to for help.

Today, as he went in for his follow up echo, the doctors reported that his echo was very, very good. Or in Arabic one would say, “mumtaz jiddan.” We thank God for how He has blessed Ibrahim and for his continued healing.

Ibrahim’s family expressed many thanks and heartfelt greetings to all of the hospital staff and to the Shevet volunteers for the way they have seen Ibrahim and cared for him when there was nowhere else for them to go. We know that God is the One who saw him and made the way.

“Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!
I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.” Psalm 146:1-2
