Our little Somaia is having a hard time.
She has been in Sheba Hospital for so long, and has continued to stay stable on her ventilator. However, recently she hasn’t even been trying to breath on her own. The doctors thought there was a possibility she was having seizures that stopped her from breathing.
Yesterday, they did an EEG to watch Somaia’s neurological function. The doctor said that she definitely isn’t having seizures, but that her brain function isn’t normal either.
This is some hard news to have on top of her already difficult condition, but the doctors hope that some more tests can help them figure out what is causing Somaia’s problems. She also has a bit of a fever today.
Please pray that God will work His healing in her fragile little body.
