At Sheba Hospital today, I visited our beautiful Somaia just as she was waking up from having a PEG (Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) feeding tube installed.
She was still a little groggy from the anesthetic, but still trying to smile and engage with those around her. The doctor told me the procedure had gone well and he expected Somaia to perk up tomorrow and be back to her smiley self.
I for one can’t wait to see her back to her joyful self.
