This afternoon, Anas’s grandmother met me and coworker Amelie in the pediatric ICU of Sheba Hospital, very eager to usher us into Anas’s room and show us how well he is. The nurse taking care of him said he is very well and is receiving very little medication. They will try to remove his oxygen tube later this afternoon.
“He’s waking up and also very cute,” she added with a grin.
Sure enough, Anas was opening his eyes and responding to his grandmother saying his name. She’s very excited and encouraged by this. Please pray that the extubation attempt goes well and Anas can breathe easily on his own.
