Potential further repair required

The Sheba medical team attempted to wean Eva today from ECMO once again, and were unfortunately not able to do so. After much discussion, the decision was then made to take Eva for an updated CT scan, in hopes of finding potential reasons for why she is still needing ECMO.

The doctor reported that the team felt Eva had two potential areas of narrowing: one located in the proximal/upper portion of her shunt, and another in a branch of her pulmonary artery. The rest of the day was spent with continued monitoring and further dialogue about next steps. She will potentially have another surgery or heart catheterization procedure in the next several days.

We praise God that the CT showed areas that could potentially be repaired and are praying for a clear treatment plan moving forward!
