Praying for Omar…

Omar is 20 days old.  He was immediately transferred to Sheba Medical Center only 3 days ago. Today a pulmonary artery banding procedure was performed on his small heart. The surgeon was pleased with the results, and the healthcare team will continue to monitor him for the next few days to evaluate the results of the surgery.

This is just the start of the journey as he will need more procedures in the future. His grandmother radiated a peace that was encouraging. It reminded me of Philippians 4:4-7, which states:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Please continue to pray for Omar as he recovers from his surgery. Please also pray for the wonderful healthcare team at the hospital that are advocating for his life and caring for him.
