After almost exactly two long months Sila has finally been discharged and is back home!
Looking back on all this little one has been through it is very cool to see what God has done. Almost as soon as Sila got to Sheba Medical center she was put on a ventilator, and through the two months she has been ventilated two different times, had two surgeries and a catheterization. On top of this she also had problems even getting a surgery due to a fungal infection!
Finally Sila had all her procedures, then followed the long road to recovery where she also had to learn how to eat. And finally today she went home. Isn’t God cool! He knew what he was doing and had a plan. I hope he used us to show Sila and her parents the love of Messiah.
Something else he did: for about two or three weeks Sila’s father has been trying to get travel permission for his wife to come to Sheba Medical Center, well late last night Sila’s mother came to see her daughter for the first time in at least a month!
And it was just in time to escort her home which was very sweet. It made my heart so happy to see Sila reconnected with her mom, and to watch her sweet mother take care of her!
Sila is supposed to have a follow up in about a months time. Please pray that all will be well, and that she will continue to grow in strength!
