Today brought not so good news for our little Liya recovering in Sheba Hospital. After being extubated yesterday, she failed and had to be reintubated. As this was the second time of an unsuccessful extubation, the doctors are now thinking about a tracheostomy.
They discussed this with Liya’s mother today and if she agrees, they will probably do her tracheostomy in the next few days. For her mother, this was quite frustrating news and she was crying for a while.
Lord I pray that you help this little girl to get better. Thank you that you have a perfect plan for her and that she is still alive!
