“She’s a fighter,” were the doctor’s words in reference to Liya who was successfully extubated today.
Liya’s mother was allowed to attend her daughter to Sheba Hospital instead of Liya’s grandma, who was in attendance for quite a while. Both ladies were happy to switch places. Liya’s mother was relieved to find her daughter extubated today.
Liya has been struggling to come through this, and finally did. I was a little nervous when Liya started coughing today, but the doctor told me that in this case, coughing was a good sound for Liya because it means she is fighting for her lungs to become stronger.
