This morning we heard from Lawik’s doctor that he is making very little progress and is improving very slowly. And while it is on the one side good news that he is improving, the doctor told me on the other side that he is not improving as fast as they would want him to or they hoped he would. Nevertheless the doctors told me in the evening right before we left the hospital that they will maybe try to take Lawik off the ECMO tomorrow. It’s a hard decision as every day he is on the ECMO is dangerous for him but also the attempt to take him off is dangerous especially with his still very weak heart. Lord, please give the doctors wisdom in this difficult decision tomorrow morning! Be with all the doctors, Lawik and his mother! Give them strength!
