Neither my co-worker Elisa nor I have been into Anas’ room yet. We’ve only seen him from about a 5 metre
distance. Two days ago, I could see his little purple hands and feet, but today they were covered. Around his bedside, many machines are working away, with bags of dialysis fluid sitting on the floor.
The doctors tell us that Anas is improving little by little and have started weaning him off some of his medications. His heart function is good. When I asked about pulses in his ischemic hands and feet, the doctor said there are faint pulses. Even more encouragingly, the vascular team believe the ischemia is only superficial and expect him to make a full recovery. What amazing news!
We haven’t seen Anas’ Mum for a few days, but his Dad is often wandering the floor. With our minimal Arabic and plenty of gestures, we try to encourage him and, most of all, let him know that so many people are praying for his dear son.
Thank you for continuing to pray for Anas. God has got him! We continue to release God’s healing glory into Anas’ room, and we can’t wait to see this boy make a full recovery, in the name of Jesus.
