Successful pacemaker battery change

Today at Sheba Hospital, Amir had a successful pacemaker battery change in surgery. The surgery had been scheduled earlier this week, however was delayed owing to an accidental last minute break of Amir’s fast, having consumed a yoghurt.

Amir’s mother waited patiently and was very joyful to see her son safely out of surgery after this extended wait. Doctors say the procedure was a success and don’t anticipate him needing further treatment or a new battery for around another eight years.

Amir was swiftly removed from any extra oxygen-support after the procedure and was sleeping peacefully, he is expected to wake up later today. Amir will be monitored overnight and if all remains well, they hope to discharge him tomorrow. Amir’s family on video-call were all rejoicing. Praise God.
