Stable through the night

After an unexpectedly complicated surgery and close call with ECMO yesterday, Eva has held up through the night and this morning inside Sheba Hospital’s Pediatric ICU. I visited Eva and her mother today and was initially greeted with a surprisingly low heart rate for such a tiny little girl. Nurses however resolved the issue quickly by adjusting her pace maker settings.

Besides the small issue that was fixed quickly, doctors say she is doing well for her condition. She remained stable, and is hopefully slowly improving.

Right now we are just praying that she will have an undamaged brain when and as she continues to heal and get better.
