Steadily improving

It was fun to visit Taleen and her grandma today at the hospital. The grandma feels familiar now that I have met her for many days over the last week. This is the first time that I have seen Taleen properly awake, and she was making her grandma work hard, as she was quite upset. She has been moved into the secondary ICU, and as I observed her crying for milk, without many medications, cables and tubes surrounding her, she looked just like any other beautiful baby, rather than a tiny hospital inpatient.

Hopefully by this time next week Taleen will be reunited with her family in Gaza, who she doesn’t yet know, but I’m sure are all praying for her and waiting for her to return home.
