Still trouble breathing

Rohat was extubated over the weekend in Sheba Hospital, but he had some trouble breathing so he is once again receiving oxygen support from a ventilator.

The doctor in the ICU explained that while at first glance, his diaphragm seems to be functioning, it is possible that this trouble is caused by a problem with the diaphragm. Rohat had an ultrasound today and the doctors will use the results to determine the cause of his difficulty.

Rohat’s mum is still in relatively good spirits. As she told me in Arabic today, “God is great and Rohat is in his hands.”
