Successful pulmonary valve replacement
At near 8:30 this morning, Farooq was rolled out for his surgery at Schneider Children’s Medical Center.
Farooq’s father was quietly moving his son forward, no doubt full of the concerns of a loving father, but showing little or no emotion as the wheel-revolutions made their repetitive echo in the corridor, and the distance of the surgery floor was gained.
They were told the surgery would take up to seven hours, which it roughly did. Doctors believe the replacement of the pulmonary valve went well. Farooq is intubated in the recovery ICU and is stable.
Your prayers for him are greatly appreciated.
