Sila, our newest emergency transfer from the West Bank, is officially settled in her “new home”- the ICU of Sheba Medical Center, where she’ll be staying for the next unknown amount of time.
I was there to greet her mother when they first arrived a couple days ago, and today I got to meet her father as well. They’re a gentle, sweet couple who care dearly about their daughter.
Today we learned that Sila presently has a fungal infection. Because of this, her surgery, set for Sunday, is postponed. The doctor said this is not good because her surgery needed to be done ASAP. Also, we’re not sure why she’s infected.
Please pray that the infection gets quickly treated so they can move forward with the surgery.
