Today at Sheba Hospital, I found Ali extubated once again, and even awake! He was very tired and confused, but I got to speak with our newborn friend for the first time so far.
His parents were encouraged but wary, cautious of a repeat of the events of the last couple days, and indeed the risk remains. We now have to see once again if his body will endure the weight of extubating.
